Louis Vuitton made the announcement in anticipation of Stone's "Battle of the Sexes" movie premiere in London over the weekend. The brand wrote on its official Instagram that it was "delighted to announce Emma Stone as the latest ambassador for the Maison."

Louis Vuitton's caption went on to explain that the actress is both "a muse and friend" of Louis Vuitton's Women's Artistic Director, Nicolas Ghesquiere.

Ghesquiere posted on his own Instagram, "I am truly happy [Emma Stone] is joining [Louis Vuitton] today as a new ambassador."

To celebrate the partnership, Stone wore an off the runway white gown with silver embroidery from the Spring 2018 collection on the premiere's red carpet.

This is Stone's first partnership with a luxury brand. She joins Louis Vuitton's list of actor brand ambassadors including Jaden Smith, Sophie Turner and Alicia Vikander.

The actress herself is not on Instagram or Twitter. She has previously said social media "makes [her] crazy" and that she finds it to be a platform for false storytelling. To that end, she has not commented on the new partnership with the luxury house on social media.

Stone has worked with LA-based stylist Petra Flannery for almost a decade. Flannery's other clients include Claire Danes and Zoe Saldana.

Flannery also posted a picture of the actress wearing her Louis Vuitton gown on the red carpet over the weekend. She has called Stone a "risk taker" when it comes to style, which will make her an exciting addition to Louis Vuitton's roster of Hollywood brand ambassadors.
