Asos has chosen a genderless fashion brand, and an East London multifunctional label as winners of the 2018 Asos Fashion Discovery competition.

Wesley Harriott - Asos

Emerging brands Lyph and Wesley Harriott were selected by a panel of judges that included Lazy Oaf founder Gemma Shief; Asos’ CEO Nick Beighton; Style influencer Susanna Lau and Jo Hunt, head of womenswear buying at Asos.

Additionally, '60s-inspired brand Desree Akorahson received the People’s Pick award. The two winning brands will each receive a £50,000 investment, one-to-one mentoring from industry experts and a chance to sell their collections on Asos for at least two seasons.

The People’s Pick winner will have its collection sold on Asos for one season.

Lyph - Asos

Lyph is a brand that designs clothing with unisex cuts for a genderless feel. It rejects convention and combines menswear and womenswear elements, whilst merging design and functionality, according to the brand.

London-based Wesley Harriot champions multifunctional fashion with cargo pockets, neutral colours and original silhouettes. The brand produces and sources all products in London.

Finally, Desree Akorahson plays with the bold and vibrant concepts of '60s fashion. Eye-catching patterns and colour combinations accentuate oversized shapes and floral embellishments.
