Flannels has launched a 10,000 sq ft store on Meadowhall’s prominent Park Lane mall, announced the owner of Yorkshire’s premier shopping destination on Monday.

Flannels has opened a new store at Meadowhall - Flannels

The store offers a range of designer items from brands such as Vivienne Westwood, Hugo Boss, Stone Island, Belstaff and Paul Smith, and features a clean, contemporary design.

Flannels’ signing marks another milestone for Meadowhall with its refurbishment now well under way. The shopping centre’s £60m overhaul is due to complete later this year, creating four different shopping areas, each with a different theme.

“The excellent performance of Flannels reflects the strength of Meadowhall’s continued strategy to enhance the shopping environment and respond to changing consumer lifestyles. In line with this approach, the £60 million refurbishment investment will continue to deliver  leading brands such as Flannels, to grow our retail line-up and appeal to shoppers,” says Richard Crowther, Asset Manager for British Land.

Joe Browns, Neal’s Yard, Nespresso, House of Fraser, All Saints, Hollister and Hugo Boss have opened new stores or upsized their presence at the shopping centre in the past months.

“So far 42 brands (19 of which are new) have invested a total of £16 million in their store design since the start of the refurbishment last year, and a further 31 store reformat projects are currently taking place,” said Crowther.

The refurbishment will be completed by the end of 2017.
