The Pierre Fabre group has appointed Núria Perez-Cullell to the role of managing director of its dermo-cosmetic division, which encompasses brands Avène, Ducray and Klorane and makes up more than half of the group's total sales.

Núria Perez-Cullell, who joined the company in 1998, will take on her new duties from August 20 and succeeds Eric Ducournau, who has been promoted to company managing director.

A pharmacist, Perez-Cullell has successively worked as product chief for Klorane, executive assistant to Pierre Fabre from 1999 to 2001, and as Avène marketing director France, and then globally, from 2002 to 2013. In July 2013, she was named managing director of Avène, which rose to become the leading brand in the dermo-cosmetic market in France, Europe and Asia.

In 2017, the Pierre Fabre company registered revenues totalling 2.3 billion euros, an increase of 1.6%. The growth was driven by the dermo-cosmetic division, with accounted for 62% of sales, compared to the 38% attributed to pharmaceuticals.
