Topshop and Topman’s Oxford Circus, London flagship pulls out all the stops on Friday as it launched its store takeover with Netflix’s hit Stranger Things TV show. The retailer has launched its special collection in collaboration with the show and the collab has certainly paid off so far on the publicity front with major media coverage of the launch.

The flagship store has been transformed to include some of the most memorable moments from the show and to kick off a promotional period aptly running until Halloween.

As well as a pre-release showing of part of season two this week, the in-store experience features interactive Stranger Things sets. These include an actor-staffed lab where visitors can test their telekinetic powers.

And while the collection was given a large and prominent space inside the store, the unveiling drew crowds outside as to gawp at the transformed store windows. There were queues too head of the 07:00 opening, despite the heavy rain. Although they weren’t as big as we could expect from, say a typical H&M designer collaboration, those queueing were clearly confirmed Stranger Things fans with around 50 of them line dup to be the first to shop the new collection.

The product itself focuses on unisex T-shirts carrying graphics linked to the show’s location, to phrases used in the show and images of its its key characters.
