When it comes to skincare, Japanese expertise is a step ahead. The focus is on innovative and original Japanese beauty as a part of the Bijo show, which features a selection of products that combine tradition with advanced technology. The Japanese have made skin care into an art. Their beauty routines mix ancestral and advanced techniques. A focus on the most innovative products. Interview with Keiko Suyama:We dedicate a lot of time to our face and body skincare and we have lots of different stages in our routines, we use 6 to 8 products. That’s why we really seek products with a technical dimension and something that’s very organic. There’s a lot of innovation, for example, the brand Sim Cera has a cosmetic roller which is a Japanese lifting device. In the head of the product there’ a ceramic plate which contains different minerals such as tourmaline and moonrock and it naturally diffuses the rock’s energies to hydrates and improve the elasticity of the skin. There’s also the Makanai mask which is a cotton mask that contains fibres of collagen, squalene and Vitamin E. You begin by applying your cream or serum and then you use the cotton mask by wetting it, wringing it out and then heating it in the microwave for a few seconds before applying to the face. This facilitates the penetration of the cream and fibres into the skin, it’s very innovative. At Makanai, there’s a lot of secret Japanese beauty products such as this silk cocoon, a true cocoon, you have to start by wetting the skin to soften it and next you can really thoroughly clean your skin. The base is the scalp so we take care and clean it often and at the same time the Uka brush is really interesting has you can press on the acupuncture points of the head and everything goes from there so it’s really important.Music royalty free: Bandit & Nikit 2017
