& Other Stories tries on Vans

An essential fashion piece, Vans are being included as part of & Other Stories’ collection this season. H&M’s recently established women’s brand has partnered with the California skate brand this spring for two pairs of its iconic shoes.

Two models from the Vans collaboration - & Other Stories.

To be released in mid-April in & Other Stories’ twenty or so stores in Europe and New York, as well as on its e-shop, the capsule includes three models. Two different models come in nude beige leather, while the brand’s famous "slip-on" is available in polka dots and graph black and white stripes.

"It was very interesting to work on classic Vans - to interpret through the lens of & Other Stories and to give a more feminine touch to a model originally destined for skaters, while playing with colors and materials from the spring-summer 2015 collection," said Nicole Wilson, shoe designer at the brand.

Retailing between 90 and 100 euros, the shoes echo themes from & Other Stories’ main collection. Rather more accustomed to collaborations with up-and-coming designers than with established brands, the retailer is, on the other hand, used to rounding out its shoe collection with sneakers especially by Nike, selling its more fashion-oriented models.
