The American company has just opened its first Asian flagship store in a four-story building in the heart of Shanghai's Jing'an neighborhood. At the inauguration of the store, Craig Brommers, senior vice president of marketing at the company, tipped off China Daily that the group was planning for a hundred Abercrombie and Hollister openings over the next ten years.

The group points to the solid performance of its first seven Hollister stores as incentive. A Chinese e-commerce site should be launched by the end of the year and the group has already announced a store in Chengdu, Sichuan.
