Adidas is setting itself up to reach its targets - the German group has just opened its new Chinese headquarters. Located in Shanghai, the group's offices now spread over more than 180,000 square feet - a 20% increase on the previous premises. The brand is focusing its development in China, where it already employs more than 2,800 people, on Shanghai. In order to be closer to its clients, Adidas has also added a fifth region to its structure in China by opening offices in Chengdu, the capital of the Shishuan province in the country's mid-west.

The Adidas network is spreading throughout the country at lightning speed. In just two years, the brand has set up shop in 350 new locations and can now be found in 900 cities. The network already counts 7,000 points of sale, and another 500 will be added by the end of December. In the first-half, the group saw its sales in China rocket up by 33% to 732 million euros (a 19% increase at constant exchange rates). In western Europe, sales rose by 6% and passed the 2 billion euros threshold.
