Amiri opens in Dubai
Los Angeles-based luxury brand Amiri has opened its first flagship store in the Middle East at The Dubai Mall.
Spanning 3,500-square-feet, the store opens in partnership with boutique retailer Soho Middle East, and is designed to be sleek and modern with materials such as marble, walnut, paloma stone and stainless steel.
It houses both men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections, alongside kids wear, footwear, accessories and leather goods. Likewise, the store opens with an exclusive capsule collection dubbed 'Dubai Palm Tree', featuring silk shirts and shorts, a T-shirt, hoodie and jersey shorts, adorned with a hand-painted botanical illustration inspired by the date palm.
The opening is part of a larger international retail expansion plans. It marks the company’s third international location joining international boutiques in Tokyo and Shanghai, which both opened earlier this year. The brand equally operates several U.S. locations including on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California; Soho, New York; Las Vegas, Nevada, the Design District in Miami, Florida; and Atlanta, Georgia.
Mike Amiri, the house’s CEO and creative director, launched his brand in 2014. Today, it is in part funded by Renzo Rosso’s OTB Group, which acquired a significant minority stake in June 2019.
Since 2018, Mike has been a member of the CFDA and was most recently nominated for the Menswear Designer of the Year at the CFDA Fashion Awards in 2022, as well as 2021 and 2019.
