Australian surfing brand Billabong is launching a new collaboration. After dropping lines developed with major artist licenses like Iggy Pop and Andy Warhol, in 2018 Billabong worked twice with influencer Elle Ferguson, who has 648,000 followers on Instagram. And now Billabong has joined forces with Californian blogger Julie Sariñana (@sincerelyjules,  with 5 million followers), giving her a free rein for a surf and beach-inspired collection.

Billabong has teamed up with Instagram star Julie Sariñana - Billabong

Sariñana, who started her blog in 2009, worked on a 40-item collection featuring swimsuits, rompers and beach accessories, inspired by her motto ‘Dream, believe and achieve’.

“This collection is both unique and romantic (...) Each product has the daydream feel of a sun-drenched getaway, and I hope this collection will inspire young women to pursue their dreams,” said Julie Sariñana. As a tribute to Sariñana’s Mexican roots, the ad campaign was lensed in the resort of Todos Santos, Baja California.

“We created this collection together to inspire young women to live their passions to the full, while feeling beautiful and at ease with themselves,” said Katie Singer, Vice President Global Merchandising & Design at Billabong. The collection will be available on Billabong’s e-shop and at North American retailers from March 12 2019, and worldwide the day after.

Last February, the Billabong group (owner of Billabong, RVCA, Element, etc.) reported a revenue of AUD476.5 million for the six-month period ending on Dec. 31 2017. In April 2018, the Boardriders group, which already owned Quiksiver, Roxy and DC Shoes, bought Billabong, and has since worked on reorganising the Australian group.
