Buying second-hand is a consumption method perfectly suitable for the children’s fashion sector as the little ones rapidly grow up and out of their wardrobes. Now that Jacadi, Petit Bateau and Okaïdi have already converted, Bonpoint is now the latest to try its hand at reselling second-hand items. The high-end fashion brand is launching Bonpoint Vintage, a website dedicated exclusively to second-hand products.

Bonpoint

Bonpoint intends to act as an intermediary between sellers and individual buyers in order to facilitate the process. The brand presents a simplified system developed by service provider Faume: The consumer that wishes to dispose of Bonpoint garments fills out a form and sends it to the brand, which takes care of inspecting and refurbishing the clothing (washing, ironing). These items are then displayed on the website. In exchange, the seller receives a voucher between 30% to 60% of the original selling price of the new product to spend in the e-shop or in-stores.

Bonpoint Vintage is only available in France. Items destined for second-hand resale may be sent by mail to the brand, or dropped off at one of the network's stores from March 18 onwards. Brand labels and the composition/care label must still be present on the garment. Please note that bodysuits, pajamas and shoes are not eligible for returns.

For Pierre-André Cauche, president of the brand, Bonpoint "has always embodied transmission thanks to the timeless style of its iconic pieces and the quality of its materials and manufacturing.” This new service "consolidates our circularity dynamic and will allow us to extend the link between generations by offering a new chapter of life to models that have already witnessed moments of happiness.”

The children's brand born in 1975, which in 2021 welcomed Esther Loonen as its new artistic director, has a network of 127 stores worldwide, 25 of which are located in China. Since 2007, Bonpoint has been owned by the EPI holding company, which also owns the J.M. Weston brand.
