Reiner Pichler has resigned from his role as group CEO of Calida Group. The company announced his departure on Friday, saying he wants to focus on roles that don’t require a full-time presence.

"We very much regret Reiner Pichler’s decision. He has led the group very successfully for the last four-and-a-half years,” said Hans Kristian Hoejsgaard, chairman of the board of directors.

Pichler was named group CEO in 2016. Prior to that, he was CEO of casualwear brand S.Oliver and chief executive of Holy Fashion Group.

The board will lead the effort to identify and interview a successor, with Pichler continuing to lead the group until a new CEO has been appointed.

“With continuous growth, the accelerated introduction of digitalisation – particularly the e-commerce business – and the sharpening of the group’s focus with the sale of the Eider and Oxbow brands, Reiner Pichler has made a valuable contribution to securing the future of the Calida Group,” the chairman said.

Headquartered in Switzerland, Calida is a global clothing group with a portfolio of brands in the lingerie category (Calida and Aubade), outdoor (Millet and Lafuma) and furniture (Lafuma Mobilier).

The company is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange and employs about 3,000 people. In the first half of 2020, sales fell by 14.6% to 146.2 million Swiss francs ($155m, €131m) after adjusting for currency fluctuation.
