The Canadian parka and down -jacket specialist has appointed John Davison, the CFO of luxury hotel chain Four Seasons Holdings Inc., as an independent member of its board of directors with immediate effect.

Davison is a highly experienced international finance manager, and is also the Executive Vice-President of  Four Seasons Holdings Inc., a position he holds since 2005, having joined the hotel group in 2002 as Senior Vice-President Project Financing. Besides managing the group's financial operations, Davison also supervises its IT department.

He formerly worked for four years at KPMG in Toronto, then spent 14 years, from 1987 to 2001, at the IMAX Corporation, where he eventually took the post of President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, and on whose board he still sits.

Canada Goose was founded 60 years ago in small Toronto warehouse and is now a global brand, specialised in women's, children's and men's outerwear and distributed in 36 countries worldwide. It operates flagship stores in major cities worldwide and several online stores.
