Just days after a spectacular diamond heist at Brussels airport and a brazen hit on an upscale jeweller in Paris, thieves on the French Riviera made off with a million euros worth of luxury watches.

The robbers stole the goods from a store on the Croisette seaside promenade in the upscale resort of Cannes on Thursday after breaking in while the store workers were out to lunch, police said.

On Monday, heavily armed robbers disguised as police made off with $50 million worth of diamonds in a spectacular heist on the tarmac at Brussels airport.

The next day in France, armed robbers held up the De Beers stand in the Printemps department store in an early evening hit that netted valuables estimated to be worth up to three million euros.
