The virtual model specialist, whose clients include La Redoute and Showroomprivé, said it raised 3 million euros in a funding round lead by French investors. The Chinese firm,  founded in 2015 by Gabrielle Chou and Jérémy Chamoux, also confirmed its relocation from Shanghai to Paris.

"There are two reasons for the move to France: it puts Allure Systems closer to Europena clients," explained Gabrielle Chou.

Allure Systems is currently backed by CapHorn Invest and Calao Finance, and in France is joining Fanny Forgeau, appointed to head up its Europe division. Forgeau was most recently director of operations for Linkfluence, the company that publishes social media monitoring software.

The company caters online stores and portals looking to reduce the cost of producing online visuals by 40%. The idea is based on creating photo shoots without real-time models, with Allure Systems providing the models, hairstyle, and makeup from a database of images made beforehand. Backgrounds and retouches can also be made and different angles showcased too.
