Converse gave the spotlight to female designers at this season's London Fashion Week: Men's (LFWM), partnering with designers Paria Farzaneh and Feng Chen Wang to release reimagine the brand's classic Chuck '70 model for Autumn/Winter 2019.

Farzaneh began collaborating with Converse back in 2018, debuting a collection at last year's LFWM that featured a unique Converse One Star Mid design. For 2019, her take on the Chuck '70 revealed colorful, patterned shoes inspired by the designer's Iranian heritage.

For the Converse x Feng Chen Wang AW19 collaboration, Wang fashioned a Chuck '70 made to be "sports couture for a female consumer," according to a press release, debuting a design featuring a unique ridged sole blended in with the shoe's classic rubber bottoms.

The collaboration further focused on "female hand movements as a graphic element to symbolize the power supply needed in the journey to achieve goals," the press release said.

Wang, a Chinese-born Londoner, established her menswear collection in 2015 after graduating from the Royal College of Art in London with a master’s degree in menswear fashion. Her latest collection of apparel for AW19 was inspired from her upbringing as one of three children under China's then one-child policy.

London Fashion Week: Men's ran from January 5 through 7. Pitti Immagine Uomo marks the next big event on the men's fashion calendar, running from January 8 through 11.
