Very strange coincidences can prove to be rather annoying. This coincidence in particular involves the transfer of part of the fashion house Damir Doma to Milan, Italy, including both production and its design office. The French language version of FashionMag.com reported on the announced changes on Tuesday.

Although the French company didn’t offer details, it was put into receivership on April 30.

When contacted, company CEO Jeremy Rocher stressed that the situation only concerns part of the ongoing restructuring of the company's business.

Certain creditors, however, alarmed and dismayed regarding Damir Doma’s move to Milan, see it as a way to escape its debts.

According to Rocher, the company will maintain an HQ in France. The company recently opened an office on rue Beaubourg (Paris' 4th arrondissement), but according to sources, it may be changing addresses, moving to rue des Petits Carreaux (2nd arrondissement). The store located on 54 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré (8th arrondisement) is, as of today, still open.

For its 2013 fiscal year, Damir Doma generated a turnover of 10.5 million euros. The company has stated that it will no longer release financial details.
