Dior shows are being held across the globe. The fashion house organized a Hong Kong show in early April attended by Sidney Toledano, fashion folks and a medley of international and Asian celebrities. The event restaged Paris’ spring/summer 2014 haute couture show put on in January, this time with Hong Kong’s harbor in the background.

The first highlight of proceedings in New York concerns an April 24 Soho store event affording local customers the opportunity to purchase in advance items from the autumn/winter pre-collection.

Kris Van Assche, creative director since 2007, has told Women’s Wear Daily that he prefers to refer to pre-collections, however, as "fall" and "spring", while he alludes to runway collections as "winter" and "summer”. With scenography by M/M Paris (Mathias Augustyniak and Michael Amzalag), the house’s installation dedicated to “fall” will remain in place in the Greene Street shop until the end of May.

On May 7, Dior will hold its second major New York event in a row, showcasing Raf Simon’s 2015 Cruise collection in Brooklyn. On April 17, a documentary about the designer titled ”Dior and I" premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. The film, directed by Frederich Cheng, recounts the Belgian designer’s debut as artistic director at LVMH group’s haute couture and ready-to-wear label.
