Ahead of the world optics and eyewear show, Silmo, scheduled for 25th to 28th September, the Dita group has announced the acquisition of Christian Roth, the eyewear brand founded in 1984 by Eric Domège and Christian Roth, who will both keep their positions as creative directors.

Christian Roth's first collection under the Dita group's management will be presented next year, at Silmo 2016. In the course of the year, the Dita group's international expansion is expected to gather pace.

With this acquisition, for an undisclosed amount, Dita, a specialist in high-end eyewear, strengthens a brand portfolio which already includes its own eponymous label and the Thom Browne and Dita von Teese eyewear licences.

Created 20 years ago in Los Angeles by John Juniper and Jeff Solorio, Dita owns four stores, in New York, Los Angeles, Newport Beach and Tokyo, and is available at retailers such as Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, Selfridges, Dover Street Market and 10 Corso Como.
