As per the six-year licensing deal, trend-driven lingerie company IHL Group will possess the exclusive rights for the Elie Tahari intimates and sleepwear collection for all retail channels in North America, including department stores and specialty stores.

The collection will launch in July 2018 and will be comprised of bras, underwear and sleepwear, men’s undergarments, and children’s sleepwear. In addition, IHL Group expects the inaugural collection to sell $10 million at wholesale.

Elie Tahari launched his namesake label in 1974 with a boutique on Madison Avenue in New York City after working as an electrician when he emigrated to the US. The Israeli CFDA designer has been at the helm of his brand since its first fashion show at Studio 54 in 1977 to its current state as a global luxury brand.

Tahari chose to partner with IHL Group to produce intimates and sleepwear due to the company’s experience in the category. IHL Group produces intimates for 8 brands, including Ed Hardy and Bunny Bottom that are available at retailers such as Macy’s, Nordstrom, Gilt, Target, Urban Outfitters, Kohl’s, and JCPenney.
