Facebook users can now use the site to find out what gifts friends and family want this holiday season, as the social media network announced it is rolling out a new sharing feature for its content collection tool.

The collection feature was launched on Facebook over a year ago, allowing users to save and organize appealing content they found on the site's many pages and profiles. According to a newsroom post by Facebook, users already apply the organizational tool in a retail-friendly way, creating collections like "Living Room Remodel", "Outfit Inspiration" and "Fitness Favorites." With this new roll out, users will be able to share these collections with their Facebook friends, allowing for the creation of easily distributed digital wishlists.

Facebook added that the new sharing feature's usefulness isn't limited to holiday wishlists, but can also be used to organize recipes for a get-together, plan a summer vacation, create a collection of wedding registry ideas or collect furniture ideas for a new apartment.

Of the network's approximate 2.27 billion monthly active users, Facebook reports that "millions" of members currently take advantage of the tool.

The collection sharing feature will roll out for all Facebook users over the next week.
