E-tail giant Freemans has added a new womenswear and footwear range to its line-up, called Freestyle. It’s an in-house-designed offer that it said “will fill a casual daywear market opportunity [that] the retailer has identified”. This opportunity “continues to grow and was born from a shift in how we dress due to changing work patterns”.

The offer include 40 pieces priced from £19 to £59 in sizes from 10 to 24. The initial drop has happened this week with a second drop due in May.

As mentioned, it takes in both womenswear and footwear, “with an ethos of easy-going fashion designed to live and love life in”.

The line is being promoted as part of the new spring campaign Freemans is launching this weekend.

Items include denim pieces, T-shirts, linen separates, shackets, shorts, dresses, blouses, skirts, sweats, shirts, sandals and trainers.

Freemans merchandising chief Linda Quinn said the new line “further strengthens the range of our exclusive product offering”.

That offering also includes the Star by Julien Macdonald label, plus Love Mark Heyes, Lascana and Kaleidoscope, “all underpinned by amazing value from Bon Prix”.

The launch follows the Freemans brand enjoying a strong Christmas trading period with sales in the eight weeks to 31 December up 23% and customer numbers up 65% against two years earlier.`
