The smart sportswear brand, owned by Swiss holding company Maus, has not forgotten about its American roots, and neither about how it was created.
Gant relaunches its popular shirt among American students |
Sixty years ago, Gant was mainly a shirt manufacturer for American university students. The company even operated a boutique inside Yale University in New York, but time had somewhat erased this heritage.
Today, its history is being honoured with the relaunch of the brand’s classic Yale Co-Op shirt collection, as well as with the recent re-opening of its Yale store.
The collection consists of plain coloured shirts (sky blue, pink or white) and also some striped ones. A pre-launch was organised at Gant’s Regent Street boutique in London, but customers in France are going to have to wait until Spring/Summer 2012.
