Givenchy Parfums is set to turn over a new leaf on June 30, when Nicolas Degennes will step down from his role as creative director for make-up and colours at the LVMH group’s beauty label, a position Degennes has held since 1999.

“As I prepare to explore new horizons, I would very much like to express my gratitude to all the people who have contributed to the success of the make-up division in the course of all these years, and notably to: the label's marketing staff, with whom I have always worked with unfailing pleasure and good fellowship; the laboratory staff with whom I’ve worked closely; the French and international media; and all the bold individuals who love Givenchy make-up,” said Degennes in a press release.

A specialist in colours and textures, Degennes has notably co-developed for Givenchy Parfums best-sellers like the Le Rouge lipstick and the Prisme Libre loose powder.

The label has not yet announced a successor to Degennes, and told FashionNetwork.com that “we will provide more information on the new structure of our make-up division’s creative team at a later date.”
