In the first six months of the 2017 fiscal year, French sport retail group Go Sport – which comprises Go Sport, Courir and Go Sport Montagne - generated a total revenue of €373 million, a 7% rise over the same period last year (+2.3% in like-for-like terms and at constant exchange rates). It is a remarkable growth rate for the group owned by French retail corporation Rallye, since in the first six months of 2016 Go Sport did fully benefit from the European football championship which was held in France.

Including the revenue of its partners, the total revenue of the sport and lifestyle article specialist reached €470 million, equivalent to a 6% increase. The group also stated that "EBITDA and current consolidated operating profit have grown for the sixth consecutive six-month period," without specifying any figure.

While Go Sport is streamlining its store network, though still relying on the franchising channel, sneaker specialist Courir has visibly driven the group's results upwards. "Courir's growth remains dynamic, with sustained upturns across all distribution channels (directly owned, franchised and discount stores) and a strong acceleration of e-commerce," indicated Rallye, also the owner of the Casino group, in a press release.

In the 2016 fiscal year, the Go Sport group generated a revenue of €749 million, up 3.5% in like-for-like terms and at constant exchange rates, driven by a 24% leap in Courir's sales.

According to the latest figures published by the group, at the end of 2016, Go Sport operated 140 stores in France (34 of them in franchising), Courir had 218 stores, and Go Sport Montagne 72 stores. Including shops located outside France, the group operated a total of 558 stores.
