The 10th Annual Brandz Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands Ranking was released Wednesday by WWP and Millward Brown, and ranked Microsoft in the third position, followed by IBM.

For Louis Vuitton, it's been 10 years of domination over Hermès, Gucci and Chanel who finished in the second, third and fourth spots, respectively, when it came to luxury houses.

Rounding out the top ten in the luxury category are: Rolex, Cartier, Prada, Burberry, Michael Kors and Tiffany's.

Of the 13 categories tracked in the ranking, luxury declined most in Brand Value, with a 6 percent drop compared with a 16 percent rise a year ago.

In the personal care category, L'Oréal Paris took the top spot, with nearly a triple brand value as that of the next beauty brand on the list, Lancôme.

And in the apparel category, the top ten brands, in descending order, are Nike, Zara, H&M, Uniqlo, Next, Ralph Lauren, Adidas, Hugo Boss, Lululemon and Tommy Hilfiger, with Nike and Zara far ahead of the rest of the pack.
