Fast-growing online sportswear brand Gymshark is moving into the high street with the opening of a pop-store in London’s Covent Garden next week.

The Solihull-based business is one of Britain’s fastest-growing private companies in the fashion sector, with international sales growing on average 115% over the past two years and total sales of £176m.

The store, opening at 19-20 Long Acre in Covent Garden, will be the first time fans of the label can visit a branded space and shop its leggings and tops collection.

The multi-storey shop will also host a variety of free fitness classes, from circuit sessions involving several bodyweight HIIT exercises to yoga, stretch and massage classes. Gymshark has also teamed up with Gymbox, a fitness company with more than 10 locations across London to deliver 16 workout classes that will push participants to their limits.

The store will be in Covent Garden for a month, opening on Friday 28 February until Sunday 29 March.

While classes are free to attend, customers are encouraged to register for a ticket online, as places will be limited.

Gymshark has come a long way since founder Ben Francis started the fitness brand in his parent’s garage in 2012. The company was recently listed at number 18 in the Sunday Times International Track 200, rumours of a funding deal in April last year gave it a £500 million market value.

The brand has built a cult following online by sponsoring popular YouTube and Instagram influencers, amassing 116.5m followers across various platforms.
