A leading hat-maker in Europe, the Belgian company, which changed names from Herman to Herman Headwear in 2013, has announced its expansion into the American market, with the arrival of Christopher Swan (former sales director of Bollman Inc., an American leader in the hat industry), as its new CEO for the USA and Canada serving to accelerate the brand's export.

A new development marked by the opening of an office and showroom in Manhattan and the presence of the brand at the Magic Las Vegas trade show, taking place this Tuesday through Thursday, where it will present its fall-winter 2016/17 collection.

Sold in more than 1,500 retail points around the world (mainly in Europe, in Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Russia and Ukraine), the Herman Headwear brand also collaborates with several ready-to-wear brands for which it creates their accessories: Orchestra, Essentiel Antwerp, Bellerose…

Designed in Belgium under the leadership of artistic director Damien Ducobu and then manufactured in Europe, the classic Herman hats – caps, felt hats, straw hats, are often complemented with other offerings.

Worth noting is that the Herman group has been the owner of the Céline Robert hat brand since two years ago, with its models still being produced in the French city of Le Mans and its main market being Asia (China, Japan, Korea).
