French cosmetics giant L'Oréal has recently appointed Xavier Vey as general manager L'Oréal Luxe for western Europe. Vey was formerly in charge of the Luxe division in the USA region, where he has been replaced by Megan Grant. The new appointments were announced at the end of May, and took effect on July 1.

Vey joined L'Oréal’s marketing department in 1998. He quickly became marketing director Europe for the group, before taking charge of Lancôme’s European business. In 2013, Vey moved to the USA, where he was appointed president of Lancôme, driving the cosmetics label’s sales in the America region beyond the $1 billion mark. Three years later, the group appointed him president of L'Oréal Luxe USA, a post he held until last June.

Megan Grant took charge of the French group’s Luxe division in the USA following Vey’s new appointment. Grant joined L'Oréal in 2002, and became vice-president marketing of Kiehl's in the USA in 2009. In 2014, she was appointed general manager of The Body Shop, and returned to Kiehl's as president in 2017, a position she occupied until last June.
