Swiss watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen presents the “Lewis Hamilton” Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar Edition, an exceptional timepiece designed in partnership with the famous British racing driver. Only 100 copies of this special edition will be sold.

Not content to be considered one of the world's greatest racing drivers, Lewis Hamilton has also shown that he can be a creative designer. The six-time Formula One world champion has demonstrated his new talent with the latest Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar Edition, which bears his name.

The timepiece is distinguished by a 46.5 mm case in black zirconium oxide ceramic, which contrasts with the burgundy dial and the crown and caseback ring in 18 ct red gold. In partnership with the designers of IWC Schaffhausen, the racing driver also added touches of gold on the hands, the caseback and the rotor.

The watch is powered by the IWC 52615 manufacture caliber with a perpetual calendar which displays the date, day, month and year, as well as showing the lunar phase. It also has a power reserve of seven days.

"This partnership with IWC was incredibly exciting for me, and it's been an honor to collaborate so closely with the watchmakers in Schaffhausen. Together, we've designed a beautiful timepiece which combines two things I am really passionate about -- craftsmanship and design -- and I am so pleased with the result," said Lewis Hamilton in a press release.

This is not the world champion's first foray into the world of fashion and lifestyle design. He already has a longstanding partnership with the Tommy Hilfiger brand, which has led him to co-create several ready-to-wear collections. He has also joined forces with Police to work on a collection of eyeglass frames.
