Maison Ullens, the high-end Belgian ready-to-wear label founded by Baroness Myriam Ullens de Schooten in 2009, has opened its first New York City boutique at 727 Madison Avenue.

Spanning over 968 square-feet, the boutique was designed in partnership with architecture firm Kramer, and was built to meet the expectations of the brand's typical wealthy, "demanding" clientele, the brand said.

The shop will house a range of pieces from the label, which specializes in luxury knitwear and also offers a variety of leather pieces, travel apparel, tops, bottoms and dresses. In addition to clothing, the store will also sell some works of art.

The brand has been seen on a number of high-profile women, including French actress Catherine Deneuve, American actress Kelly Rutherford, and Melania Trump, who has been spotted wearing pieces from the brand multiple times throughout her time as First Lady of the United States.

Maison Ullens has designed its collections in-house since 2017, when the brand parted ways with then-creative director Kim Laursen.

Outside of New York, Maison Ullens also has boutique locations in Paris, France, and Aspen, Colorado, the latter of which opened in 2013. This past October, the brand held its first-ever San Francisco, California pop-up shop at the Bar Code in Presidio Heights.
