Nordstrom has shared the details of its plans to remodel its flagship location in Seattle. The extensive remodeling will apply the company’s newest award-winning design concepts that are aimed to attract an international clientele.

The Seattle flagship will feature an adaptable, single-surface floor that will change departments over time depending on the customers’ demands. The design is aimed to create a sense of discovery for customers. The natural light throughout the store and the easy navigation allows for customers to discover new brands.

This season, Nordstrom began phase 1 of its remodel on its store, which consisted of the addition of 20,000 square feet, which brings the square footage to 383,000, a remodeling of the Nordstrom Café, and the additions of the new Habitat Lounge and the Trend Accessories department. Phase 2 will begin in 2016 and will consist of a remodel of its Service Bar, Relocated Ebar, a new Beauty Department concept and a new Glass Canopy exterior. Also in 2016, the company will restore the Terra Cotta exterior.
