Nose: a second perfume shop in the United States

Dedicated to exceptional fragrances, Parisian perfumery Nose will open a second boutique in 2015 in the United States. A project that is currently moving along very discreetly.

The perfume bar at Nose in Paris

Located since June 2012 on Rue Bachaumont, the site offers a selection of perfumes (Kilian, Creed, Miller Harris…) and treatments (Ren, A night in Bali, Kevin Murphy…). In total there are 250 reference items and some forty brands.

At the origin of this concept is Nicolas Cloutier, a Quebecois living in Paris since ten years, and six other associates, from the world of perfumes of course, but also finance and math: Romano Ricci, founder of Juliette Has A Gun, perfumer Marx Buxton, Silvio Levi, notably the creator of Esxense, the annual event dedicated to artistic perfumery in Milan, statistician Antoine Calmus, Claire Delahaye de Villiers and Didier Negiar.

In addition to a selection of perfumes and treatments, the Nose team has developed an "olfactory diagnosis". A short questionnaire – that can be filled in online or in-store – which, using a powerful algorithm, makes it possible to propose a selection of five perfumes.

A technology that Nose offers to other select perfumeries, such as Skins Cosmetics in the Netherlands and Crème de la Crème in Estonia and Latvia. Currently, a dozen or so European perfumeries are equipped with it and, according to Nicolas Cloutier, within one year the Diagnostic by Nose could be present in 60 to 90 stores.
