A new stage in the development of French fashion label OAMC was announced on Thursday.

Its co-founders, Luke Meier (the former designer for Supreme) and Arnaud Faeh (the former Creative Director of Carhartt), announced that Japanese-Italian group OLG (Onward Luxury Group) has acquired a minority interest in OAMC, which had already started working with OLG last November. OLG notably holds production licences for footwear with Mulberry, women's ready-to-wear with Rochas, womenswear with Antonia Berard and also owns Jil Sander, Moreau Paris and Charlotte Olympia.

The new partners did not disclose the amount of the operation, which is expected to allow OAMC to open its first monobrand store this year, as well as launching an e-shop and broadening its product range.

Meier and Faeh showed with OAMC in Paris on Wednesday, and said they intend to remain in charge respectively of creativity and business for the label, "and want to preserve their personal vision, as the partnership [with OLG] will allow them to bring [OAMC] to the next development level."

OAMC was founded in 2013 and debuted in Paris with the Spring/Summer 2014 collection. It is currently available at nearly 130 retailers worldwide, including Barneys New York, I.T Hong Kong and Selfridges.
