Starting this past Monday, classics from Vivienne Westwood's irreverent World's End collection are being given a new lease of life at Opening Ceremony, with the aim to spread the word of positive activism.

The World's End range samples carefully handpicked pieces, previously sold at the British designer's King's Road boutique in 1971. Reworked designs of her iconic "inter titty" t-shirts and sweatshirts, denimwear and "three tongue" sneakers will retail exclusively at the brand's New York and Los Angeles' concept stores, and also via the Opening Ceremony e-shop.

"My love for Dame Vivienne Westwood and her creative legacy has truly been a life-long affair. In particular, her impact and relevance extend beyond fashion and into all the cultures that Opening Ceremony also embraces: from music, film, and art, to politics, civil rights, and environmental causes ... This reissue has never been done before, and we could not be more excited to share our favorites from Vivienne's work with a new generation," said Opening Ceremony co-founder Humberto Leon in a media release.

A world away from the World's End aesthetic, dreamier creations from Dame Vivienne's high-end Gold Label and Resort collections made stunning red-carpet appearances recently at Grammy music and BAFTA award shows and events. US actress Amy Adams, Disney starlet Zendaya and English singer Charli XCX donned Vivienne Westood couture.
