PPR and Yoox to launch Stella McCartney e-store

Yoox will soon adding Stella McCartney to its brand portfolio. Italian luxury e-commerce company Yoox entered a joint venture with PPR, with the latter taking a 51% majority share with the purpose of managing the online stores of various PPR-owned labels.

The Stella McCartney e-boutique is under construction and is set to go global, but not before the end of 2013. China, where Yoox already has an operational mandarin site, will obviously be factored into the construction, given the market’s current day significance. Other brands benefiting from e-store thanks to the joint venture include Saint Laurent Paris, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta and Sergio Rossi.

The buzz around Stella McCartney is showing no signs of calming down. Her recent involvement with the London Olympic Games saw a new high for the brand, with the designer receiving two awards at the British Fashion Awards this week. The label is – and has been since its start – a joint venture between PPR and the designer herself.
