Textil Zeitung reports that a total of 60 Austrian Charles Vögele branches will be converted into Vidrea Retail’s Miller & Monroe concept, which should be completed in the spring of 2019.

Miller & Monroe operates as a multi-brand concept offering 20 fashion brands, targeting men and women in the over-40 age group. In addition to apparel, Miller & Monroe also carries accessories, lifestyle products and home furniture.

In March 2018, Vidrea Retail acquired the German branches of Charles Vögele, which were also converted into the Miller & Monroe concept. A few weeks later, Vidrea Retail announced that it plans to introduce Italian label OVS Kids, part of Italian company Sempione Fashion AG, onto the Dutch high street. The Dutch company acts as franchise operator for the kidswear brand.

Vidrea Retail was founded in September 2017 following the acquisition of 72 branches of Charles Vögele in the Netherlands after the Dutch branches of the Swiss retailer went bankrupt in January 2017. Along with the acquisition, the company introduced Miller & Monroe as a new label on the Dutch market. As a result of several takeovers, the Dutch fashion company is now active in the Netherlands, Germany and Austria.
