Tommy Hilfiger puts Abdel El Hamri in charge of marketing for the Americas

Abdel El Hamri, who has been the senior vice president of global communications since 2013, has been entrusted with an additional role, that of senior vice president, marketing and communications, the Americas.

Effective August 1, 2015, Mr. El Hamri will relocate from Amsterdam to the Tommy Hilfiger New York offices.

Since joining Tommy Hilfiger over 10 years ago, Mr. El Hamri has held numerous positions at the business’s global headquarters in Amsterdam, including vice president, global communications since 2013 and prior to that, he oversaw marketing and communications for the EMEA region. Mr. El Hamri will continue to oversee Tommy Hilfiger’s Global Communications team based in Amsterdam, while adding the oversight of the marketing and communications department for the Americas.

“In his more than ten years with Tommy Hilfiger, Abdel has been a key contributor to the development of the brand around the world. His experience within our organization and the industry will provide strong continuity of leadership for our global teams,” said Avery Baker, Chief Brand and Marketing Officer, Tommy Hilfiger.

In its first quarter of the 2015 financial year, Tommy Hilfiger saw its sale drop from 362 to 354 million dollars in North America.
