Apparel, footwear and accessories giant VF Corporation has unveiled some key new appointments for its leadership team in the EMEA and APAC regions with a number of internal moves.

VF's Martino Scabbia Guerrini - VF CORP

Martino Scabbia Guerrini now has an expanded role as Executive VP, President EMEA, APAC & Emerging Brands, adding the APAC region to his responsibilities “to create even greater opportunities for the VF International businesses across both regions”.

The new role is also intended to “enable stronger cohesion and alignment across the regional leadership teams, key account management, and how new growth opportunities are activated across EMEA and APAC”.

Meanwhile, as of the end of this month, General Manager of Timberland EMEA, Mariano Alonso, will take on the role of General Manager of The North Face EMEA. Alonso joined VF in April 2014 as VP of Sales for Timberland EMEA and was named its VP, General Manager in 2019.

And Nina Flood, who’s currently President, VF Global Packs (which includes Eastpak, JanSport, and Kipling), will succeed Alonso in the Timberland role.

Flood “has been instrumental in developing a portfolio approach for VF Global Packs, driving strategic priorities for the brands and regions, and returning the brands to profitable growth”. She previously served as President of Eastpak.

This is all happening at the same time as Jan Van Leeuwen, the current General Manager of The North Face EMEA, becomes that brand’s General Manager of the Americas.

VF said it has taken the opportunity to “elevate some of its strong talent in the region to new positions across its global brand portfolio”.

Martino Scabbia Guerrini said of all this: “I am happy to work even closer with Winnie Ma, President APAC, and with the entire APAC team to share best practices and account management opportunities to make the VF International business even stronger.

“And I am proud of each brand leader who has received a new leadership appointment in EMEA. We’re thankful to Jan for having driven The North Face brand’s amazing business momentum in the EMEA region during the past few years and we are truly pleased to offer Mariano and Nina new leadership opportunities so they can continue to bring their capabilities to develop a thriving business. We wish them all the best on their new assignments.”
