Virgil Abloh teased fans on Thursday by posting a photo of himself and Japanese streetwear designer Nigo on Instagram. The designer then revealed to Vogue that he has partnered with Nigo for a Louis Vuitton collaboration.

“A collab project with him- it puts his work in the right context,” Abloh told Vogue about collaborating with Nigo. “He inspired me to do what I do. I thought it was a full circle moment.”

The collaboration is expected to be released in September, 2020, according to Hypebeast. The collaboration will follow Louis Vuitton’s recent partnership with League of Legends which saw designer Nicolas Ghesquière create a collection of futuristic women’s and men’s wear inspired by the film and featuring a bespoke monogram pattern.

Abloh, who is also the CEO and founder of Milan-based label Off-White, joined Louis Vuitton in March, 2018 as creative director for menswear. Abloh is known for his artistic collaborations and has worked with furniture brant Ikea and artist Jenny Holzer.
