Donna Karan extends Luxottica licence deal

MILAN, April 9 (Reuters) - Luxottica (LUX.MI), maker of Ray-Ban sunglasses, has renewed its licence agreement with designer brand Donna Karan for another five years to December 2014, the two companies announced on Thursday 9 April.

There is an option at the end of the contract for another five-year extension.
The agreement is for the design, production and worldwide distribution of prescription frames and sunglasses under the Donna Karan and DKNY brands.
No financial details were provided.
The Italian eyewear maker also produces under licence for a range of famous brands including Bulgari, Chanel and Prada.
Donna Karan is part of the LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH.PA) luxury goods group. (Reporting by Jo Winterbottom; Editing by David Cowell)
