H&M to open London and Paris Weekday stores

H&M has confirmed that it will open stores for its Weekday denim brand on London’s Regent Street and in the Marais district of Paris in La Vieille du Temple this summer.

Weekday will launch in Britain and France this spring

It has not confirmed the exact locations opening dates but it will mark the brand’s UK and French debuts and comes as it continues to expand its assorted chains in both cities. Most recently it opened a location for & Other Stories on Oxford Street, opposite Selfridges.

Weekday currently has 27 stores spread across Scandinavia, Northern and Central Europe. But the London and Paris debuts would see the chain setting foot in two of the world’s most ‘global’ shopping cities, a key factor in raising brand awareness worldwide.

London’s Regent Street rivals Oxford Street as a premier location for global flagships with H&M itself already operating its core H&M chain there, as well as & Other Stories and Cos flagships.

Weekday MD David Thörewik said the UK and France have been been key targets to add to the brand’s opening schedule with Regent Street being “one of the world’s premier shopping destinations” and rue Vieille du Temple being a major location for youthful fashion brands. The area also hosts stores for brands including Isabel Marant, Cheap Monday and Zadig & Voltaire.
