Levi Strauss gets new CHRO

She is an expert in the world of fashion and retail who joined Levi Strauss & Co. in November. Elizabeth Wood has now been appointed chief human resources officer, effective May 1, of the company that owns Levi's and Dockers.

Wood recently served as senior vice president of human resources at Toys "R" Us. Previously, she honed her skills at the international level at Warnaco Group. Having joined the group in 2005, she served as its executive vice president, human resources officer until its 2013 takeover by HPV. Before that, she spent three years at The Breakthrough Group and seven years at Brooks Brothers

At Levi Strauss & Co, which is currently overseen by CEO Chip Berg, she succeeds Varun Bhatia, who has implemented a major restructuring of the group over the past two years. Her role now will be to ensure the recruitment planning and the development of the group’s organization. 

Levi Strauss, which generated an annual revenue of 4.8 billion dollars in 2014, has 2,700 stores and shop in shops in 110 countries.
