Olivier Lapidus exits Lanvin

The first major decision by Fosun since acquiring Lanvin last month has now been announced. The French fashion house has ousted Olivier Lapidus.

The designer took over as creative director in 2014 from Bouchra Jarrar (who herself had only been in the role for 16 months). After two shows that failed to convince the critics, the Frenchman seems not to have found a foothold amongst the Chinese giant's plans for the house.

Lucas Ossendrijver currently remains creative director of the label's menswear collections.

As FashionNetwork.com exclusively revealed, Nicolas Druz is stepping down from his role as chief executive at Lanvin to take up the same role at Fosun Fashion Group, where he will be tasked with the development of the group's fashion labels in the EMEA region.

Joann Cheng, whose appointment as president was reported by FashionNetwork.com earlier this month, has been appointed interim CEO.
