Ermenegildo Zegna’s Haute Couture autumn winter collection for men 2016/2017Designer: Stefano PilatiMusic: Tribute to David BowieAllure: The first part showcased a sophisticated look, emphasising a sartorial mood, followed by the comfort of cosy coats and embroided jumpers zipped up to the neck.Tones: Grey pallet, lightened by the embroidery and the mix of materials.Fabrics: Wool and jacquards Made in Italy.Silhouette: Young and streamlined silhouette, despite the stated Couture mood.Interviews :Olivier Zahm : What I like about Stefano’s work is that he has a very personal vision of the man. He is capable of being both classic and elegant in these looks and in his creation whilst at the same time, always innovative. Therefore he looks for innovation in all sorts of fabrics, the mixing of fabrics, the cuts, the colours, but always in a very subtle way. He has a very very good taste for the level of colours. It makes a personal alliance and I find that it’s interesting to be both extremely classic in his allure for men whilst at the same time completely modern. Fashion for men needs to have a certain classic base. And he knows how to respect it whilst also completely bypass it.Anna Zegna : I find it fantastic the way the man constantly evolves with a desire to enrich what he wears and a passion for style. Hence why our clients are increasingly more sophisticated, they know what they are wearing and each season it’s like a very long road towards craftsmanship, quality and technology stemming, first of all, from creativity.
